For the month of April, I was invited by Twitch to mentor five students through Twitch University, a program that supports post-secondary students who are serious about streaming. This was Twitch U’s first mentorship program, and I was one of three mentors trusted to help pilot it, each with our own class.
This experience changed and challenged me in beautiful ways. Knowing my students were looking to my channel encouraged me to update my panels, revisit parts of my stream I had been putting off, and think more critically about what I’m putting out into the world.
Spending time as a viewer in my students’ streams reminded me of the early days of Twitch: the closeness, the comfort, the feeling of discovering someone’s little corner of the internet and wanting to stay. It reminded me why I fell in love with streaming in the first place.
I really hope Twitch invites me to be a part of this program again.
On April 11, I hosted a fundraiser to support communities in Cuba affected by the devastating humanitarian crisis, caused by the ongoing embargo. The funds went towards essential aid and much needed supplies, like food and medicine. This was done through an organization led by my cousin, making this cause especially close to my heart. After transaction and FX fees, we raised an extraordinary $8,084.14 CAD, more than four times our original goal.
On April 13, we were sponsored to play Minecraft! This was my first real experience in Minecraft and it was a lot of fun. During the broadcast, I built chat this beautiful hole in the ground, complete with not one, but two beds, and a pee pad (pictured top middle), and they were still wanting more. Can you believe what I have to deal with?! At least I was happy and proud.
I would be remiss if I didn’t give F.E.A.R. a shoutout in this issue. I can’t remember the last time I was so into a video game. It was my first playthrough of this 2005 classic, and I enjoyed how linear and to the point it was. It didn’t concern itself with collectibles, weapon upgrades, side quests, or anything else that I’ve been finding tiresome lately. It was a fantastic game from start to finish.
In other, confusing news, celinTICKLE has officially been taken down from Twitch, as well as a couple other emotes. But the good news is that a different variation has been accepted! Was it the word “tickle"? Was it the bare foot? We’ll never know, but please enjoy celinTOESOCKS.
Losing those emotes has freed up space for new ones to be added, though! Say hello to…

I was tired of my long brown hair so I chopped off a foot (haha, foot) and got blonde highlights put in! I’ve sported a blonde blunt bob before, so this felt very nostalgic and full circle. I’m feeling so good and light after such a big transformation. Just in time for my big road trip, too!

Recently, I’ve felt a pull to slow down and really take things in, especially when it comes to music. I’ve found myself wanting to listen to albums from start to finish: no skips, no interruptions. That’s how I came across this gem.
The first time I heard the song If Not Now, When?, I knew I wanted to mention it in Issue #2. Incubus has been around since the ‘90s, and while I’ve heard and enjoyed a few of their songs over the years, I had no idea just how powerful Brandon Boyd’s voice was. I’ve had this song on repeat throughout the month, and I feel like I found it exactly when I needed to.
I hope it moves you as much as it moved me.

I love hearing the stories of how people found their way to my streams and into this community. TheBryanBoru’s message stuck with me, and I wanted to shine a little light on it. The space I create now is the space I needed then. It warms my heart to know others have found a home in this weirdness, too.

Blonde Blazer is one of the superheros in the video game Dispatch, which I played on stream a few months ago. During May, you can expect to see a lot of IRL content from the road as I make my way across Canada. I’ll try streaming from campsites, tourist attractions, scenic lookouts, and whatever interesting stops I find along the way. Canada has some seriously breathtaking scenery, and I’m looking forward to showing it off. I post a ton of behind-the-scenes content in the #secrets channel in my Discord server.
At the time of writing this, I’m currently at 61% of my BRB Buffer goal on Ko-fi. Being away from my PC means being away from the streams that usually support me the most. This goal gives me a buffer while I’m on the road and settling into this next chapter. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated. I truly appreciate the support more than I can put into words. Every bit helps, even if you only just send the tip. My hope is to reach 100% of my goal by May 31.
